I am looking to relocate my outdoor heat pump, gas, service, and electrical service/meter all to a pad that is approximately 20 feet off the side of my house. Because of the coordination required between HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, I’d like a base set of drawings that can, show how this should be configured. The line set, gas line, and electrical service, will be buried to the house. The home is in Kansas, and the set of drawings will need to be approved by our local code office. The selected designer for this system Should be able to help us meet 2021 IRC codes which is what our city uses I believe. We can confirm this once hired. Does not need to be complex by any means. The main point of having the drawings as simply just to keep all of the various contractors on the same page.

Bluefield Engineering will perform all of the engineering and design, producing SD, DD, and CD sets for the client. The entire project will be subjected to our internal quality control process. We have designed 5 prior/similar Semi Maintenance and Body Shop facilities for the same client in Utah--that are all operating satisfactorily. We are therefore not concerned with the freelance stamping engineer being fully competent in this niche. Our work will be largely confined to typical radiant tube and unit heat and mini-split and RTU solutions in the office areas. The Permit set will need to be reviewed and stamped by a Licensed PE in Idaho. This PE freelancer will need to be fully competent or fluent in Revit and BIM360 (soon ACC). This project is a one-off, but we have two more current projects in Idaho that will need a similar cooperative relationship. While these will be listed as separate job postings in Upwork, we would prefer to work with one competent PE for all three and future projects in Idaho.
