My name is Nathan Kellert. I'm a Senior Developer with extensive experience in crafting custom UI controls for iOS or macOS. I also have recent experience in project management. The truth is that regardless how technically advanced a site or web application is, its intended purpose, or who the application is for, they all boil down to the same thing. Software is only as successful as the experience you provide to the end user. It that can make or break applications and websites. It applies to both consumer and corporate applications alike. It can even determine whether or not a project comes in under or over budget. Companies have spent amazing amounts of money building more advanced tools go entirely unused and become forgotten because the employees disliked using them. Businesses have had excellent and exciting new services or products that never reach their true potential because their website or application didn't offer any real information or features that grabbed visitors attention or made it easy to connect. Corporations have revamped the same websites or applications over and over. Entire projects been scrapped entirely and started again after months of work. What all these things have in common is that they cost money. Money that didn't need to be spent had there been a project manager or a senior developer like myself who developed the projects around the user and not the data. That is where I truely pride myself. For the last several years I have had the pleasure of working on a project which had a very unique and challenging set of feature requirements. Mentally it forced me to think and go outside the box of pre-existing native controls. Eve AI, encouraged me in building completely custom interfaces and controls that resulted in unique and intuitive user interactions and experiences. This taught me to work with what's familiar to the user but not to be limited to simply what apple provides.. In other words, build the controls around the feature and not the feature around the controls. Otherwise, what we end up doing is making compromises that, when viewed as a whole, becomes a limited version of what was envisioned. I believe this philosophy can change the entire outcome of a project. It alone can determine whether your site or application is a hit or a miss. Prior to UpWork I was in the top 2% of all freelancers on Elance. I attribute that success I had to my believe that I am only as successful as my clients and their projects.
