Since 1977, our agency, which is American-managed, family-owned and run, has designed and formatted books of all kinds, for print production and digital marketing, for more than 17,500 titles. Jay Polmar, our project manager, started in books in 1959, beginning with hand-setting lead type for books and hand-pulling press proof sheets at a small NYC book printing plant. In later years, he learned phototypesetting, then digital typesetting and design and later managed large sheetfed and web-fed printing plants that printed large quantities of book. Our agencies’ expertise is in Adobe and Microsoft software for publishing. As project manager, supervising the production of over 17,000 book titles, in various formats - for printing at KDP, KDP, Lulu, LSI, IngramSpark, and elsewhere - and also for ebooks for amazon kindle (mobi), ibooks (epub), Smashwords, and other ebook sellers, Jay has more experience than any other Upwork provider agency executive, 1959-to present. At 73 years old, Jay does customer support, estimating, scheduling, and billing support. We provide 3 sets of proofs without add’l cost on every job. Beyond 3 may be at extra costs. Jay supervises a full-time art dept staff of 5, including Liliana (art director), Martha (illustrator), Sri (ebook format specialist), Max (MS word book production) and our translation staff of 3. We produce printed book interiors, design and illustrate covers for perfect bound paperbacks and hardcover books, electronic books (epub and mobi), and far more. Our staff also develops posters, flyers, WordPress websites for authors. Jay is considered an expert in the field - helping authors and publishers alike.
