We’re looking for a creative director to join our ambitious growth-oriented eCOMM DTC brand building gummy supplement team!

About Us:
Crushvertise is an agency that works ONLY on our own internal ecommerce brands. We aren’t afraid to spend advertising on concepts that work, and we have capital to test and build momentum.

We’re a lean but fast-growing team and we need a technical creative director to help us achieve our CTR, ROAS goals on paid traffic channels for new customer acquisition and existing continuity.


About the Role:
In this role, you will start by helping to create new marketing angles and frameworks top of funnel (ToF) largely for Facebook, Instagram and TikTok for our newest exciting brands. We also run paid campaigns on X, Google and Klayvio, but your initial focus will be on new customer top of funnel (ToF) acquisition on Facebook and Instagram.

You will be our 1st official creative director (CD). But you will not be alone. You will be supported and working closely with the CEO, a sharp mediabuyer, 2 talented full-time video editors, motions and statics designer, all in-house.

You will also be given and trained on our tools to spy on competitive creatives, trends, PipiAds, TikTok and Meta ads libraries, app.foreplay boards. Though we assume you have your own methods for keeping up with trends.

Due to the youth of our brands and nature of being self-funded we are in a traction phase looking to get profitable quickly. As a result we are focused on high ROI converting creative concepts. You will have insights and logins to see 3rd party attribution (Adbeacon) and MotionApp to pull detailed creative reports and metrics. You will have insights into AOVs and landing page EPCs, ad CTRs, scroll-stop, video view durations, ROAS, and conversion strength etc.

In addition you will have access to full-time devs, with CRO support and the technical help to implement, create and modify new landing pages, carts, checkouts, and create new angles.

We have 2 brands, they are both young and fighting to find market fit. One started out strong with very strong metrics, the other is creeping into stability in terms of breaking even with recurring customer purchases.

We are teetering between growth and traction with both brands, meaning we are aiming to hit aggressive ROAS targets that allow us to make back our advertising budgets and earn profits to cover and grow our internal teams.

What You Do:
Lead the creative direction and execution of high-quality video and static graphic ads, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives and brand standards.
Identify angles, frameworks and ideas to help brands establish strong beachhead markets.
Develop creative briefs as well as UGC creator rosters
Prospect and negotiate with UGC creators and agencies to execute your briefs exceptionally.
Assist in building out these processes and systems to document steps, track and attract top creators to hire and create more winning content.
Direct the creation of innovative scripts, help oversee production both from the contracted creators and when needed from internal editors (though our mediabuyer will likely already help drive on that from the data) process, and
Help provide final approval for creative outputs from your briefs, weighing in on internal ideas as well.
Manage creators we contract/hire to produce creative briefs and content that they then submit as part of our b-roll, a-roll and ad footage to be edited.
Ensure branding consistency across all our digital and print marketing materials, including product packaging and promotional assets.
Stay ahead of industry trends and integrate best practices in advertising creativity and production to enhance campaign effectiveness.
Requirements:
Proven experience in directing production of high-performing Facebook, Instagram and/or TikTok video and static ads, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful advertising campaigns on such platforms.
Experience finding new creative angles, new hooks, new concepts and ideas that you then put into production.
Expertise in creative concept development and the ability to translate marketing objectives into clear creative strategies.
Excellent understanding of advertising dynamics and user engagement, particularly on digital platforms like Meta.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, video editing, transitions, graphics and familiarity with other design and video editing tools.
Exceptional ability to oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with brand standards and business goals.
Excellent project management skills. Clear extreme ownership in communication and collaboration skills, capable of working closely with CEOs, media buyers, and other stakeholders to create cohesive and effective advertising campaigns.
A commitment to staying updated with the latest trends in advertising, design, and technology to continually enhance creative output and campaign effectiveness.
Familiarity with or comfortable learning Slack, ClickUp, Notion, Frame.io and Airtable
