**Position Overview**:

As a Social Media Writer, you will be responsible for crafting engaging and compelling content for our social media channels. You will collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop content calendars, brainstorm creative ideas, and execute social media campaigns that drive brand awareness and engagement. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual with a passion for storytelling and a knack for crafting captivating social media content.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Write and edit high-quality, on-brand content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube, TikTok, and other channels.
- Develop creative and engaging content ideas, including captions, posts, tweets, and short-form videos, that resonate with our target audience.
- Collaborate with graphic designers and multimedia specialists to create visually appealing assets that complement written content.
- Monitor social media channels for trending topics, conversations, and opportunities to engage with our audience in real-time.
- Stay informed about social media trends, best practices, and platform updates to ensure our content remains relevant and effective.
- Analyze social media metrics and insights to measure the success of our campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
- Experience writing long-form content, articles, and marketing emails.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a social media writer, content creator, or digital marketer.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with a strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt your tone and style to fit different platforms, industries, and audiences.
- Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and a knack for generating engaging content ideas.
- Proficiency in social media management tools such as Tweet Hunter, Hypefury, Typefully, and Taplio.
- Proficient knowledge of graphic design principles and advanced-level experience with Canva Pro
- Strong understanding of social media analytics and the ability to interpret data to inform content strategy and optimization.
- Working understanding of the customer journey from lead to customer.
- You must use a computer for this role. You cannot use a mobile device.

**Availability:**

- You must be available online to collaborate with the team in real-time during these days and hours: Monday - Friday 5 AM - 3 PM PT (US Pacific Time)
- Exact hours within that time range will be assigned to you
- You must be on video calls during your shift to collaborate with the team in real-time.
- This is a remote position, but the team works together. This role does not allow for work outside of the work hours listed above.
- You must use a computer to do your work (not mobile tablet or phone)
- Be responsive in chat (Slack). Respond within 30 minutes.
- You must communicate your status at the beginning and end of your shift

**Deliverables**

- You must turn in your assignments accurately, completely, the same day and on time
- Failure to turn in your assignments properly can result in delayed or even reduced payment

**Rate**

- The pay is $3/hour for 10 hours a week = $30/week for 4 weeks
- Additional hours may be available if you prove yourself to write well
