Translator, editor and writer

I am an experienced translator, working from French and German into both British and US English. I have worked across a wide range of genres, from literary texts, medical reports and website copy to newspaper articles, blogs and travel books. I am always happy to discuss your project. I can also refine an existing translation (including from an AI platform) and clean it up for you. I also work as a writer and have created content for editorial, commercial and creative purposes. If you have existing content, that's fine too - I offer a rewriting and editing service, and am also happy to localise it for your audience. After graduating from Cambridge with a First-class degree in French and German, I began my career writing for a travel magazine and quickly progressed to Deputy Editor. Since becoming a freelance translator and writer, I have undertaken projects for a wide range of publications and journals, including commissioned articles, ghostwriting fiction, as well as editing and proofreading for various publishers and content creators. As a copywriter, I have created and edited website material, marketing emails, blogs and brochures for companies in fields as diverse as fitness, art, gastronomy, cosmetics, jewellery and education. I am happy to edit and improve your existing website, or create something entirely new from scratch. I have also spent many years living and working in Paris, where I have translated a broad range of commercial texts, sensitive documents, play scripts and academic articles. I carry out out regular work translating French press articles into English, and can work to a short deadline, where necessary. I am on Upwork daily, so please feel free to get in touch to discuss your project!.
