Sure, you want error-free copy. Everyone does. But you need more than that. You need writing that makes sense. That expresses your true vision clearly. That showcases your products and services positively. That resonates and connects with your reader. Most editing focuses on "fixing problems." As an expert business and technical wordsmith with over 30 years of experience, I go far beyond this limited approach, focusing on optimizing your writing. My core skill is communication, and I can provide value to you that goes far beyond fixing typos: I can transform your ordinary source material into polished, precise, professional prose. An MBA and MS in Computer Science from MIT, combined with decades of experience in the business world, allow me to understand and enhance technical reports, business whitepapers, websites, books, sales copy, and much more. Upon hiring me, a client recently summarized my editing in three words: "Do your magic." I also have decades of experience managing projects of various sizes to successful completion, including taking a 1,100-page book from concept to printed copies in hand in four months (a timeframe I had been told by a publisher was "impossible"). Let me apply my organizational, detail, and coordination skills to bring order to any chaos plaguing your business. I work quickly and efficiently, and I communicate with you promptly and professionally. Guaranteed. What can I do for you? - Turn your white paper, book, ebook, website, or manual from mundane and error-filled to a clear, flowing, professional work of art. - Review any writing on any platform to provide feedback on how to make it shine. - Help you manage your projects to guide them to successful completion -- on time and under budget. - Transform nearly any type of data into any other type with high speed and accuracy. I get results faster, more accurately and often even cheaper than so-called "budget solutions." - Solve virtually any problem with Excel spreadsheets. - Edit your photos to perfection using my 30" hardware-calibrated monitor. - Much more. Ask me! I'm very adaptable and constantly expanding my skills. Specific credentials: - MS in Computer Science and MBA from MIT - Published author of 1,600 page book on TCP/IP networking technologies. - Main author, project manager, and general editor of 1,100 page book on networking. - Several years of experience editing articles for a major online website. - Edited and produced output from a team of analysts for three years. - Dozens of websites, ebooks and manuals designed, restructured and edited. - Member of the American Copy Editors Society (ACES). - Over 30 years of Excel and data processing experience. - Published and award-winning photographer and photo editor. - Over 250 projects completed, and over $250,000 in earnings on freelancing sites with a 100% success rate. Hope to work with you soon!

Hello, I have been a Technical Writer and Editor for the past twenty years. I've written for a wide variety of organizations and enjoy many aspects of technical writing, particularly those areas that require strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Documentation I have produced ranges from small in-house user guides and policy/procedure manuals to training materials used to roll out national products. I am a stickler for detail but am otherwise pretty easygoing. I appreciate your time and consideration.

Do you intend to publish an academic text in a language that isn't your mother tongue? As someone who has been both a trainee and a trainer in three different languages, I know how challenging this can be. Even if your research is sound and your content superb, a lack of appropriate flow, style or tone can make it difficult to convey your meaning and your ideas and thus, unfortunately, your paper may not get the attention it deserves. I can help your paper stand out from the rest. Dozens of researchers from leading institutions have already benefited from my services as an academic editor and proofreader. I am a native UK English speaker, have a master's in marine science and a plethora of knowledge and experience of such fields as applied science, bio-medicine, chemistry, natural science, political science, to name but a few. I look forward to hearing from you.

""A pleasure to work with Tiffany - engaged actively with me to understand my requirements. Produced a quick sample to test against my expectations and then completed the project promptly and with flair. Quality work, highly recommended." “Tiffany was a life saver. I had no idea where to start with my medical school personal statement, with just a rough draft at best. Not only did she turn it into a masterpiece, but she also did it in only a couple of hours, instead of the normal 3 days initially agreed upon. She was extremely skillful and very professional. She was able to use every single angle of my past education, background and experience ( or lack thereof 😀) to my advantage. She was also very personable and cooperative. I'd definitely recommend her anytime to anyone who is looking to get positive results." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Looking for a reliable copywriter/editor with a diverse background, adaptable voice, and experience across genres? You’re in the right place. I have been a freelance copywriter/editor for over 7 years and have worked on projects of all sizes, including: - Personal statements for fellowship, residency, graduate/law/medical school, and college - Resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles - Blog posts - Website copy - Full length (50k+ words) fiction and non-fiction books - Technical guides, manuals, and instructions - Curriculum development About me: My background includes teaching Professional Writing/Communication & Technical Writing at the university level. I also have experience in interview coaching, social media management, and recruiting and hiring. I take pride in my work and will absolutely exceed your expectations. I'm happy to take a piece of writing and craft it into perfection on my own, but I also love collaborating. There is a lot to be said for sharing a vision and working together to fine-tune a piece of writing so it perfectly suits your voice and your readers' needs.

I am a published writer; editors from national magazines - including Woman's Day - confirm I am a gifted writer. I invested 28 years with Deloitte and am a business writer extraordinaire. I now help clients like you catapult over your competition. As a ghostwriter, my blogs have been published in Forbes, Huffington Post and Yahoo Finance. I edited two WSJ bestsellers and created content for Microsoft and Notre Dame University. If you need a communications expert who is also a master storyteller, then I'm your resource! Using my imagination and carefully scripted messages, I've accomplished what many aspiring freelancers covet; I've cracked through the steel doors of global magazine editors and persuaded them to print my articles. Additionally, I am also a book editor - one was a Wall Street Journal bestseller. So what is my secret sauce? I’ve spent decades mining magical caverns of forgotten words, selected the finest and stored them like jewels in my treasure chest. When writing, I carefully retrieve and assemble them so each sentence flows to the next like a melodious sonnet. The result? I’ve amassed a sterling portfolio. Now that I’ve achieved my lifelong goals, allow me the pleasure of helping you attain yours. Perhaps you want copy edits that maintain the author's voice. Or maybe you need a major rewrite. I will follow your instructions and honor your deadline. I have a BA in corporate communications (magna cum laude) and I minored in global economics. I am an enthusiastic journalist who once interviewed U.S. House of Representative Ted Poe, of Texas, as well as the late astronaut Sally Ride. I'm an avid reader of international current events, politics, and history, as well as many of the literary classics. More importantly, I am a Christian who desires to produce high-quality content for each client - large or small. Here's a sample of the work I've completed: * Generative AI * Article or blog rewrites * Storytelling obituary writer - memorials and eulogies * Newsletters * Real Estate - write blogs, edit e-books, create website content * Press releases * Writing coach/tutor * Academic proofreader, edit college admissions essays/scholarship applications * Edited non-fiction books - 2 Wall Street Journal bestsellers * Christian Theology * Digital marketing agencies * Blogs for health and wellness, mental health, OCD, Bulimia * Landing pages for websites * Copywriter * Creative writing, ghostwriting, manuscript edits * B2B * Internal communications * Edit business plans * Autobiographies and personal experience articles * Financial and technical reports; wealth management * HR policies (Well-being, Learning & Development, training, etc.) * Religion, biblical studies, and Christian themed articles, Christian books, and devotionals * Artificial Intelligence God bless, Kathy Pierce

I will work with you to tighten, clarify, and strengthen your content while preserving your voice and optimizing for SEO. I will also write original, on-brand content that will engage your readers. I have more than 15 years of professional experience, a bachelor's degree in journalism, and a minor in creative writing. I will approach your projects with journalistic discipline and ethics combined with fluency in creative writing techniques. For work that requires SEO optimization, I use best practices that will help your content rank well in search organically. I don't resort to cheap tactics like keyword-stuffing and content "spinning." As a journalist by nature my highest priority is top-quality, ethically created content. And that's the key to ranking well in the SERPs. What I've been writing and editing recently: • Onsite content, including long-form assets and digital PR, guest posts, and case studies. I know how to engage the reader, answer search intent, and call to action. • Web copy, optimized for SEO. • Video scripts. • Articles. • Newsletter and social media content, including LinkedIn articles. • Long-form and short-form fiction. • Copy for display advertisements. You'll be working with me directly on everything (I'm solo; not an agency). But for years, I've led a hand-picked team of subject matter experts and copywriters to create digital assets that drive traffic and rank well in search. Earlier in my career, I led an award-winning newsroom to produce weekly coverage of crime, politics, and events. Next, I was the final stamp on all external publications for the largest government agency in my state. There, I also led a small team of writers and photographers to produce a monthly internal publication. For editing work, here's my process: 1. You share your draft with me as a Google or Word doc. 2. I give it a pass for developmental edits as well as proofreading/line editing. On request, I will track my changes so you can accept or reject each one individually. I will also leave an "overall feedback" breakdown at the top of the document. 3. Once you've reviewed your new draft, I'll make any changes needed. 4. What follows (and the timeline) depends on the unique needs of your content. Links to recent projects available on request. If you have a project in mind, let's talk.

I also have experience teaching and tutoring English-language learners in the United States, Russia, Macedonia, Peru, and China, and I have worked as an instructor for Kaplan, teaching GMAT and GRE preparation courses, which include lessons on writing.

Hello and welcome to my profile. I’m an intuitive copy editor, a meticulous proofreader, an excellent copywriter and a thorough researcher. I’ve served as the final pair of eyes on books from a host of genres, as well as articles, blogs, website content, etc. intended for both general and academic audiences. My success at that work can be measured by the feedback I have received from many if not most of my clients, one of whom paid me a wonderful compliment by observing that "she makes you look good." That is, of course, the end goal of every copy editor. I am particularly careful to keep my clients informed throughout the course of each project, soliciting and incorporating their ideas and responding to their concerns to ensure their complete satisfaction with the finished product. A great deal of my work has involved theses and dissertations, especially those written using APA (7th edition) format. Throughout my freelance career, I have completed scores of projects for graduate and doctoral students from all over the world. One important proviso: I do light editing and substantial proofreading of academic work, but I take the concept of academic integrity very seriously. If you're looking for heavy editing, rewriting, or original writing, I cannot help you. I hope that we'll have an opportunity to work together.

Clients value my command of the English language, meticulous editing style, prompt communication, and professionalism. I will give your project the care it deserves and return a polished final product in a timely manner. My biggest strength is having a keen eye for detail while keeping the big picture in mind, and I excel in delivering a clear and concise document that is free of errors. The main issue I come across is lack of consistency. To make a great impression and communicate effectively, I believe that writers should strive to be consistent with terminology, organization, style, and formatting. I ensure that writers attain this goal. I have a knack for working with English Language Learners and convey their messages with a natural flow and impeccable grammar. In addition to freelance editing, I have also worked as a writing consultant in both a university writing center and law school. My role was centered around discerning clients' strengths/weaknesses and improving their grammar, clarity, flow, organization, and content. I have a liberal arts undergraduate education and a science/engineering graduate education. Before graduate school, I worked in research and development at 3M and Ecolab. Because of my education and industry experience, I am sought out for technical/business writing. However, I am proficient in a variety of writing styles. I also have extensive experience with academic writing and enjoy writing travel guides and poetry.

I have a lifetime of experience working with words, from copy editing and proofreading work by junior high and high school students to writing standard sports reference books for major publishers. Now that I'm retired, I'm looking for occasional work with words to take advantage of my hard-earned skills and to supplement my Social Security income, so I'm not trying to make a fortune. I offer fast turnaround and close personal attention to any project you entrust to me.

Top skills in academic, business, fiction, and nonfiction for proofreading, editing, and formatting: I thrive on finding mistakes in grammar, spelling, context, syntax, redundancies, repetitions, punctuation, and in facts. The Chicago Manual of Style and APA are home for me, and Webster's Unabridged is my main daily haunt. I also work in MLA, GPO, Vancouver, Harvard, AMA, and AP as well. I love digging into research, too. Academics are my first love, but I am just as comfortable working with businesses and helping authors with their prose. I enjoy coaching and explaining why I am suggesting changes, so there can be growth on the author's part if so desired. It's not about the money—it's about the game! I like the challenge of finding as many errors as possible. I like the challenge of making you look your best. This is why I prefer flat rate to hourly. With a flat fee, the work can be developed without worry. It can be delivered with pride. Because my job is to make your work look good, in most cases, I can't do that while rushing. So unless a rush job is timed appropriately for the level of detailed editing that I do, I can't accommodate rush jobs. Feel free to ask though. It never hurts to ask. There are periods of downtime occasionally. And I like to give back to the community. So, if there isn't a lot of money to work with, please inquire. It never hurts to ask, and if I do have the time, I may be able to help. If you do, please mention that you read my review and would like help on the pricing. To learn about my editing process, ask me for my bio.

*** Please note, I get a fair number of invitations to interview for jobs where the budget is very low, $50 or $25 and so on. While I would like to help, I just don't have the time for smaller or low-budget projects. I am looking for larger, multi-hour projects that are paid on an hourly basis (not flat fee) and have a minimum budget of $500. Thanks for understanding. *** I have over 30 years of experience in research, evaluation, statistics, and project management. I have advanced evaluation and statistical analytic skills and am fluent in Stata and SPSS and have been developing my analytic skills using R to where I am now comfortable working in this language as well.. I also use Mplus for latent variable modeling. I have designed and analyzed online surveys using Survey Monkey, Qualtrix, and REDCap. I have a PhD in clinical psychology and am a tenured Full Professor. I teach beginning and intermediate statistics to doctoral and master's level students. I also teach program evaluation and mental health policy, including substance abuse policy. For samples of my writing style, you are welcome to use the "Look Inside" feature on Amazon to review sections of my book: Substance abuse in America: A documentary and reference guide. I am also happy to provide samples of papers published in peer-reviewed journals. My writing and oral skills are excellent and I am comfortable both developing as well as conducting trainings, workshops, and presentations. I can also help with editing and writing technical or non-technical documents but I am highly selective about this kind of work. I will be happy to review sections in dissertations and theses, but I will not write these or other student papers because I believe this violates academic integrity. I also will not accept homework assignments for the same reason. Things I can help you do: 1) Translate data in Excel or ASCII format into a data set for analysis in just about any commonly used statistical program. 2) Run basic screening and descriptive statistics such as frequencies, measures of central tendency and dispersion, and distributional statistics to assess skew and kurtosis. 3) Run bivariate analyses such as t-tests, correlations, and chi-square tests as well as non-parametric procedures like Kruskal-Wallis. 4) Check missing values and conduct imputation-based analyses for missing data as needed. 5) Run more advanced analytical models including: factorial ANOVA, regression (OLS, binary, ordinal, and multinomial logistic as well as Poisson and negative binomial), GEE for repeated measures data, HLM, factor analysis, latent class analysis, SEM, and growth mixture models. 6) Review and advise on statistical analyses already run including interpretation of the findings. 7) Review, advise, and edit write-ups of statistical results and methods sections. 8) Prospective advice on study design, including sampling, measures, and data collection protocols. 9) Write and edit proposals. I am available to be a project evaluator and would be happy to help you write the evaluation section of your proposal as well as conduct the evaluation if funded. Or, if you just need a review and editing of your proposal, I can do that as well. 10) Develop surveys and survey questions. I have extensive experience developing surveys including online surveys using tools such as Survey Monkey, REDCap, and Qualtrics. If you are unsure whether I can help with your project, please do not hesitate to send me a message. I reply promptly and will give you an honest answer. I never take on work that I don't feel I can complete successfully and within your time frame or which might take me an inordinate amount of time.

I am a native English speaker and scientist with strong technical writing skills. I can grasp and implement complex concepts quickly. Then I write about them concisely and clearly. In my most recent role as a freelance technical writer and editor, I use InDesign or Word to create understandable, thorough product instruction manuals with a focus on consumer electronics products. I also write, review, and edit reports, manuals, website copy, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and instructions, always striving for uniformity, clarity, and accuracy. I've also prepared supporting Word reports, Excel documents, and PowerPoint presentations for technical reports, expenditure justifications, and peer reviews. In my twenty years of experience in petroleum field exploration and appraisal geoscience, I proofread numerous documents at a multinational company, wrote sales flyers for multimillion-dollar data-room sales efforts, and presented prospects to outside energy companies. My biggest life accomplishment is helping discover three major deep-water oil and gas fields, proving up nearly 1.5 BBOE of recoverable hydrocarbons worth about $60,000,000,000.
