Experienced Bookkeeper and Virtual Assistant with Xero Expertise for Australian Company

Introduction:
We're seeking a highly skilled online bookkeeper and virtual assistant, well-versed in Xero accounting software, for our Australian-based company. This role is ideal for someone with comprehensive experience in bookkeeping, including intricate accounting tasks, Australian tax and payroll regulations, property management, and the flexibility to undertake personal assistant duties.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will manage the financial records of three companies, handle the finances of our investment properties, and assist with personal tasks. This Part-time position requires commitment to a schedule of 8 hours a day, 1 day a week or 4 hours a day 2 days a week, offering diversity in tasks from professional accounting duties to personal assistance, including educational support for children.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting and Financial Management:

Invoice Management: Efficiently sorting, matching, and uploading invoices to Xero. This involves meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of the financial records.

Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconciling bank accounts in Xero to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and accounted for, highlighting and resolving any discrepancies immediately.

Monthly Payroll Processing: Calculating wages, deductions, and superannuation contributions accurately for each pay period, ensuring compliance with Australian tax regulations.

Sending Invoices and Managing Receivables: Generating and sending invoices to clients, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely payment.

Commission Checks: Calculating and issuing commission payments based on sales or performance metrics, ensuring accurate and timely compensation.
Virtual Assistant Duties:

Personal Tasks: Handling a variety of personal tasks as requested, which could include scheduling, research, or specific project management.
Requirements:

Profound knowledge of Xero accounting software.
Solid experience in bookkeeping, including detailed financial management tasks, for Australian companies.
Strong understanding of Australian tax laws, particularly relating to payroll and property investments.
Exceptional organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Ability to manage both professional and personal assistant tasks with efficiency and accuracy.
