We are a growing small business based in Dubai with a dynamic team of 8 dedicated professionals. As our company expands, we’re seeking an experienced HR consultant to assist us in managing and optimizing our HR processes. We require a consultant who can provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, compliance, and overall HR strategy tailored to the unique needs of a small team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Employee Relations: Provide support and guidance on sensitive employee issues, including performance management, conflict resolution, and maintaining a positive work environment. The consultant will also serve as an external resource for employees to discuss topics they may not feel comfortable raising with internal team members or the company owner.
• HR Strategy & Planning: Assist in developing HR policies and procedures that align with our company goals and culture. Help in structuring team roles, setting expectations, and improving overall efficiency.
• Performance Management: Guide us in conducting constructive performance reviews, setting clear expectations, and creating development plans for our team members.
• Support to Directors: Offer expert guidance to the directors on HR-related decisions and strategies, ensuring that leadership is equipped to manage the team effectively and in compliance with best practices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an HR consultant, preferably with small businesses or startups.
• Strong knowledge of UAE labor laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive issues tactfully.
• Experience in performance management, employee relations, and HR strategy development.
• Ability to work independently and provide actionable advice tailored to our specific needs.
• Familiarity with the unique challenges of a small team and the ability to offer practical solutions.

Project Details:

• Location: Remote, but understanding of Dubai/UAE labor market and work culture is essential.
• Commitment: This is an ongoing project with the potential for long-term collaboration. Initially, we are looking for help on an as-needed basis, with the possibility of moving to a retainer model if the fit is right.
