*Contemplative Caregiver LLC offers mental health support for family and professional caregivers and care organizations facing burnout and systemic stress by utilizing mindfulness-based, strength-focused therapy and caregiver coaching strategies. Services are accessible via office, telehealth, and outdoor sessions, with flexible payment options, including a sliding scale. We enhance caregiver support with referrals and enrich professional development through CEU-accredited workshops and retreats, fostering balance, resilience, and hope.

~~What am I building?
*Contemplative Caregiver will be an industry thought leader across Colorado’s Rocky Mountains that induces proactive systemic change that acknowledges the burden of caregiving and provides impactful mental health support for family and professional caregivers. Eventually, Contemplative Caregiver will provide clinical contact hours for various mental health professionals in the form of clinical supervision and become an internship for graduate level mental health students at Universities. Various types of providers such as LPC, art therapist, equine therapy, canine and animal assisted, pescetherapy (fishing therapy) dance and movement therapist, marriage and family therapists, psychedelic assisted therapist, nature and wilderness therapists, music therapists etc with their own supervisory track and enough post grad hours. We will take medicaid, insurance, and have a 501c3 non profit division to take a sliding scale and rely on private pay and grant based projects. We currently only accept private pay.

Contemplative Caregiver is launching an inclusive, seasonal four-week fishing therapy program tailored for young caregivers aged 18-25 from underrepresented communities within the Denver Metro area, including Boulder County. Designed to accommodate two groups of six participants per season, aiming to serve 50 caregivers annually from BIPOC, low-income, LGBTQAI2S+, and disabled communities.

The program will unfold across three seasons at St. Vrain State Park, offering an accessible location for spring, summer, and fall activities. To embrace the winter season and continue providing therapeutic support, the program will transition to Staunton State Park, for its ice fishing opportunities.

Participants will be provided with stipends to cover the costs of recreational equipment, fishing licenses, and to subsidize temporary professional caregiving services, enabling uninterrupted participation. The program's comprehensive budget of $99,593.00 will support various needs, including fishing licenses, family passes, CPR/AED and Wilderness First Aid Training, seasonal marketing, communication services, caregiving stipends, fishing poles and equipment, adaptive equipment, outdoor clothing and safety equipment, services of clinically licensed therapists (LPCC, LPC, LCSW, LMFT), guide services, administrative support, clinical supervision, fringe benefits, and administrative costs.

We seek a dynamic Grant Research and Writing Specialist to spearhead our funding efforts, adapting our innovative program to a wider spectrum of caregivers, including professional caregivers, large organizations, healthcare bodies, and students. This role is pivotal in weaving our vision into compelling narratives that resonate with potential funders.

1. Grant Research: Dive deep to uncover 25 viable grants, with an emphasis on those championing mental health, community support, and inclusivity, setting a solid foundation for our applications.
2. Program Adaptation Analysis: Examine potential modifications to our fishing therapy program to embrace a diverse caregiver audience, ensuring our therapeutic benefits reach far and wide.
3. Strategic Grant Proposal: Write customized proposals, each resonating with the specific goals and values of potential funders, complemented by detailed financial planning.
Application Assembly: Prepare and compile application packets, aligning with the unique requirements of each grant, to present a coherent and compelling case for funding.
4. Reporting: Implement an tracking system, leveraging Google Docs for a transparent, collaborative review process, ensuring every step of the application journey is documented and accessible.
A portfolio with successful grant procurements from multiple  sources.
In-depth understanding of caregiving dynamics, mental health challenges, and the healing power of nature-based therapies.
Inventiveness in tailoring programs to meet the intricate needs of various caregiver demographics.
Ability to juggle multiple grant applications, adhering to strict timelines.
Proficiency in APA Citation and ACA ethical standards and a grasp of Colorado’s mental health regulations.
