Macro to enter data into a windows desktop application

Search more jobs

Enter Part Number and hit tab.  After part number is displayed, click on Edit / Place workorder and from the child window, enter Warehouse Id, then four tabs to skip over four unused fields, then enter Release Date, Want Date, Order Qty and then check Released and click on Order.

Repeat the operation for the rest of the items in the spreadsheet

The spreadsheet format is attached

Update the Success = Y or N, depending on if the macro was successful in entering the data.
If the macro was not successful, write in a log file why it was not successful.

The first video shows successful data entry
The second video shows what all error can be expected

When an error is encountered, mark Success = N and enter the reason in the log file

Possible Errors that could happen (see second video)
1. Bad Part Number
2. Missing Engineering ID

If the program cannot detect the completion of Order, then there has to be a wait-seconds value in the config file that can be adjusted, so that the macro waits for those seconds before attempting to enter the next part number.  Ideally, the program should be able to detect the completion of the Order entry.

The program should be small and ideally should run as a standalone executable without the need to install it on the computer
