Medical Biller (Insurance) Needed in Pain Management

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling medical billing for services provided to patients who are in network with their insurance providers. The role requires a deep understanding of medical billing procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex insurance processes effectively. The Medical Biller will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely billing and reimbursement for pain management services.

1. Review patient charts and documentation to accurately assign appropriate billing codes for services provided.
2. Submit claims to insurance companies for network reimbursement, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all necessary documentation.
3. Follow up on outstanding claims, denials, and appeals related to  billing to ensure maximum reimbursement.
4. Verify patients' insurance coverage and benefits for  services, providing clear and accurate information to patients regarding their financial responsibilities.
5. Collaborate with medical providers, office staff, and insurance companies to resolve billing issues and discrepancies.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing regulations, coding guidelines, and insurance policies related to out-of-network billing.
7. Generate reports and analyze billing data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in out-of-network billing processes.
8. Provide support and assistance to patients with questions or concerns regarding out-of-network billing and insurance coverage.

1. Proven experience as a Medical Biller, with specific experience in out-of-network billing preferred.
2. Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
3. Strong understanding of medical coding principles, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in billing and documentation.
5. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex billing processes to patients and colleagues.
6. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
7. Familiarity with insurance verification processes and reimbursement guidelines for services.
8. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
9. Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) certification is a plus.
10. Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field is preferred, but not required.
