If you are an OSINT analyst with an obsession for detail, please continue reading.  This role is 80% quality control in nature, and 20% editing. As such, to be successful in this role, you must have prior OSINT experience and be more investigative researcher/analyst than editor. We will not consider traditional editors for this role (not the skillset we are seeking). A successful candidate must be someone who is naturally meticulous, who naturally obsesses over details (OCD level), and is inherently curious (always digging a bit deeper).  For the right person, there would be a medium to high amount of work within the bounds of availability of the freelancer. Higher preference will be given to candidates who are available for a minimum of 20 hours/week. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and your UpWork hourly rate.

A test case will be administered to short-listed candidates during the interview phase to determine if the candidate has the above mentioned qualities we seek.

RESPONSIBILITIES
-Review and identify missing/incomplete information in draft reports based on sound OSINT research techniques
-Work closely with analysts to bring draft into total harmony with provided report template and style guide
-Assist analysts with research queries
-Update the internal editing checklist regularly new editing and research procedures as required
-Provide periodic constructive feedback to researchers
-Meet internal deadlines
-See projects through to the end
-Provide regular status updates to project management team
-Collaborate respectfully with team members from different cultural backgrounds and in a variety of time zones

-Excellent writing and communication skills. Can structure narratives and report details in plain, simple English. An obsession with grammar is a plus.
