I am tryting to set up a non-profit foundation, need help with 1023EZ or 1023 form to apply for the tax exempt status, the yearly income is expected to be more than 50000 but it takes a long time to apply for tax exempt status. but if i apply for 1023ez, I heard it's not good for grant application, so still undecided.

Also, I would like to get more insight about if my friend donate to my foundation, how their income will get deducted and how should I use the fund to make it more legit while help them save tax.
