Seeking Editors for Video Transcripts
We are looking for individuals who have native English-speaking and writing skills, and fluency in both professional and casual English. You must be fluent enough in English to understand English speakers with heavy accents and rough audio quality. Being able to identify slang, idioms, and regional terms is also very important.
You must be able to listen carefully, interpret and analyze audio, and craft grammatically and logically correct sentences from imperfect transcript text that covers a variety of professional topics. A generalist knowledge is a big plus.
This is not regular transcript work. This requires strategic engagement with the content, including mild editing, and fact-checking occasional content by researching it quickly and efficiently for sound, citable sources. Editing and proofreading experience is an asset.
