Overview:

We are seeking a talented 2D Background Artist with experience in creating vibrant and engaging vector-based backgrounds for children's animation. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing work in similar projects and a deep understanding of the stylistic needs of children's content.

Responsibilities:

    Design and create high-quality 2D vector backgrounds that align with the visual style and tone of the animation.
    Collaborate closely with the art director, animators, and other team members to ensure backgrounds enhance storytelling and character interaction.
    Interpret storyboards and scripts to develop backgrounds that support and complement the narrative.
    Maintain consistency in style and quality across all backgrounds, adhering to the project’s visual guidelines.
    Provide revisions and updates as needed based on feedback from the art director and other stakeholders.
    Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.

Requirements:

    Proven experience in creating 2D vector backgrounds for children's animation, with a portfolio demonstrating relevant work.
    Proficiency in vector design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Animate, or similar.
    Strong understanding of composition, color theory, and lighting within a children's animation context.
    Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
    Attention to detail and a keen eye for maintaining consistency in art style.
    Flexibility to adapt to feedback and make necessary revisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

    Previous experience working on children’s television shows, animated series, or educational content.
    Knowledge of animation production pipelines and how backgrounds integrate with character animation.
    Understanding of child psychology and how visual elements can influence children's perception and engagement.

Each complete background will pay out $50.
