Mechanical Engineer | Product Research and Development (R&D)

I am a Mechanical Engineer with an M.Eng in Robotics and Automation and more than 10 years of working experience. My job is to start with your idea and do what's necessary to turn it into a part or product. And I know how to do that since I have performed every step of the R&D and manufacturing process. I am proficient in CAD software like: ◾ Fusion 360, ◾ Inventor, ◾ Creo Parametric, ◾ Solidworks, ◾ Alibre Design Expert, ◾ and others. In my professional career I have: ◾ Designed Robotic stations and lab equipment, ◾ Manufactured parts on multi-axis CNC Mills and Lathes, ◾ Designed Autonomous Differential Vehicles, including motors, drives, electronics and firmware, ◾ Designed children's exercises to teach STEM skills. ◾ And I have lectured on preparatory courses to pre and post-graduate students (Matlab, CAD, CNC operation). I also have experience designing and assembling basic Electronics for simple tasks like stepper motor drives, LED drivers, etc. Furthermore, I have been programming CNC machines like CNC mills and lathes with different controllers (Haas, Fanuc, Heidenhain). My experience on the factory floor and in R&D departments means that I can design faster and that I know precisely what it takes to manufacture a part. As well as how to match your requirements to the appropriate manufacturing method. That way, I can reduce the overall R&D budget for a product, compared to another engineer, by requiring fewer prototypes and product iterations before going to market.
