I have a Masters in Organizational Performance and Change from Colorado State University and my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Nebraska in Human Resource Management. I am a certified HR geek. Many HR folks get ‘pushed’ into this field, but I was lucky enough to have an amazing professor who taught me there was a need for business savvy people who impacts the company in more ways than most other departments – even when executive leadership does not realize (sneaky.)! I started my professional career in the trucking industry. Shell shocked and realizing that college did not prepare me well for the real world, I went off – to slay the world – or so I thought. I developed and managed a Human Resource Department from the ground up (we didn’t have employee files – nothing; zero; zilch). This experience gave me a wide variety of depth, knowledge and the ability to adapt within a unique industry. I was lucky to have built trust with the executive team and gain a seat at the table at such a young age. I was immersed into the game of business and I found my passion. Fast forward six years. Fresh out of my Masters program, I needed a change. Little did I know that I’d be recruited into the new erratic world of the cannabis industry – I took a leap. At the time of entering into the industry – it was fresh, rules were just being written – we were on the forefront of history and everyone was watching. I was given a once in a lifetime opportunity to create something new with leadership support and the freedom to do and create as I saw fit. I got to work, again, building from the ground floor. Over my tenure, I hand crafted a unique recruiting experience; developed and oversaw our own in-house training facility; strategically planned the culture of the organization; developed procedures for the HR department but also all other departments within the company; created training paths for employees to excel. After shareholder struggles, fighting amongst the partners – I made my exit. Since then I’ve found myself as an HR consultant for various companies transferring my knowledge and helping companies realize that Human Resources can transform your company and even help with bottom line results. During this journey I have also developed a team of HR like minded – well qualified – kinsmen that share my passion for the HR world. We are all on-call waiting to help your company navigate through the grey spaces you encounter.

"Great communication, worked hard, didn't max out the budget- worked as much as they could and then stopped. I really appreciated their professionalism. Although we hired them for recruiting, none of the applicants they sent us worked out :( But their efforts and professionalism were fantastic."
