Angie Counce has more than 20 years of business management experience; including leadership roles in sales, marketing, training and team development, corporate initiatives, customer service and most recently collections where she is Vice President of Consumer Credit Banking at JP Morgan Chase. Throughout her career she is known for exceeding operations goals and building great teams. In her currently role she is responsible for 600 employees to ensure Card Member Service is flawless. In addition to her leadership roles, she operated as a consultant, partnered with businesses to diagnose different strategies to improve business results.
Prior to joining JP Morgan Chase, Angie Counce worked for Portfolio Recovery Associates, as Vice President of Operations. Additionally, she worked with B3 Creative Agency as a Culture Innovator, where she helps companies identify areas of opportunity to increase operating margin either through increased sales or reduced expenses. She also worked for Target Corporation, where she managed corporate initiatives in customer service, like the RedCard® rewards program and Best Guest strategies to increase market penetration of the credit card. At Target, she also led several different operations teams in Collections and customer service, as well as leading teams that supported operations. Prior to Target she worked for Best Buy Corporation and American Express Financial Advisors. Angie Counce received her Bachelor of Business Management from Metropolitan State University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and received her Master’s in Business from Bethel University. She is currently a doctoral learner and plans to complete her PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology in 2023.
In addition to her leadership role, she is a certified facilitator of Strengths Genius, a program structured around Clifton Strengths Finders. She also leads within the community by serving on the Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse board as the incoming board chair. She has chaired the Finance Committee on the West TN Hearing and Speech board, served as the American Heart Association’s West TN Heart Walk Executive Team Lead chair, and served on the WRAP board as the Fund Development Chair. Additionally, she participates in several round tables to continue to develop personally as well as an opportunity to give back. She channels her passion for volunteerism into the site she leads by encouraging volunteering and giving. Under her leadership, the center has volunteered for St. Jude telethon, has done numerous food drives, adopts families every holiday season, and employees have given money to the United Way, Forward Jackson, American Heart Association, the Dream Center, Relay for Life and WRAP.
