I'm eager to assist you with copy editing and proofreading, as well as coaching your writing process if desired. I've been described by one writer friend as "a writer's reader."
In addition to reading 100 books a year for fun, I'm also trained as a coach. Because of my unique experience as both 'coach' and 'reader,' my editing clients get a detail-oriented proofreader and copy editor with a long history of clear and kind communication, tough-love, and humor.
My core values drive everything I do. They are: 'finding the deeper meaning,' 'accomplishing things together,' 'attention,' 'compassion,' and 'candor.' I believe in clarity over pedantry, and seek to understand by asking questions rather than making assumptions.
My hourly rate is set to reflect that I am a beginner in this field. I have twenty years of office work experience and a masters degree from an Ivy League school, but I recognize that I need to prove myself in a new field. If you have proofreading or copy editing tests, I will gladly apply for the opportunity to work with you and your team.
