HEC-RAS Model Developer | QGIS Stream & Catchment Delineation

Experienced 1D and 2D HEC-RAS river hydraulics modeler. Worked on numerous dam, bridges as well as floodplain mapping, QGIS stream and catchment delineations and watershed hydrology projects. I am a civil engineer with experience in building hydraulic river models for river regulation, riverbank protection, dam, bridges and culvert modeling, as well as floodplain mapping. I have started building models in HEC-RAS for flood plain mapping while still in college getting bachelor’s degree then later on got into QgiS and HEC-HMS hydrology and watershed management as a first step towards effective water management and continued doing it later on while on masters and after employment. I have been working on all stages of the project, from conceptual studies to detailed design. My experience in water resources management entails: o Hydraulic mathematic modeling of open channel flows and quantification of flood risk and hazards o Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis to investigate the best option to rehabilitate a flood control dam within a detailed watershed plan o Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for several bridge reconstruction projects, bridge scour and intrados (lower chord) elevation in regard to high flows o Engagement on one of the biggest projects in country on highway drainage design systems o Work on all stages of run-of-the-river (ROR) hydro power plant project of 5+ MW and several smaller ones <1 MW which involved dam design and all of it’s components as well as, headwater and design discharge calculations Currently I am employed as a Senior associate on river regulation and flood and drought protection projects. I am a dedicated professional and will be presenting all reports as instructed by the employer. I encourage regular communication and I am always willing to take an extra mile to get the work done. I am experienced in: • Building HEC-RAS 1D and 2D models in newest versions and presenting results in RAS-Mapper • QgiS Stream & Catchment delineation • HEC-HMS catchments/watersheds and flow paths delineation, which can be very useful for setting up HEC-RAS models • Watershed hydrology, Hydrologic and Water resource modeling and simulation • Aquaterra by CGS Labs, software for channel/river engineering • AutoCad and Civil3D • MS Office
