Without expert coaching and guidance, it's easy to get lost in a maze of ideas and content and, lose track of the learner, their journey and their needs. In a world of instant experts and superficial branding, it's tempting to create a flashy version of lecture-style learning that numbs your people's minds and hearts. I'm on a mission to help mission-driven entrepreneurs make their learning matter, scalable, and worth the investment. I have a passion for working with diverse and varied experts, a keen eye for the value of making learning interesting and engaging, and helping to map content so that people lean in. I have over 20 years of learning design and facilitation experience having helped hundreds of for-profit and not-for-profit leaders enable their people to learn and grow. Millions of people around the world have taken the programs I've created. Over the past two decades I've evolved my approach to instructional design many times as new technologies and insights into adult learning have emerged. Today I focus on 4 things: 1. A compelling blueprint: content that makes sense, has flow and offers a meaningful journey 2. Learner centered experiences: ensuring the learner remains front and centre so that the content is in service to their growth (this includes a trauma-informed and DEI lens) 3. Micro lessons: chunking that makes content easily digestible and useful; formats that promote engagement and interest (and enable repurposing) 4. Interoperable technologies that can be used on any device: enable people to learn when and where it works for them I've worked on hundreds of large (certification) programs for the likes of Intel and The Institute of Management Accountants and small mini courses for clients such as Mariposa Education and Walden Wise. I have a strong technology background having helped to build and grow a tech start up (check out the learning platform Crowd Wisdom) and worked with organizations who offer large, integrated suites of Saas based products.
