Nikhil Katara is an experienced writer who has written for One India One People Magazine, The Free Press Journal & Mumbai Universities official journal. His article has been published in a book called "Gandhi- Then & Now' and he also has short stories published in the book "Readings in the Shed' He is also an experienced playwright & director. His plays have travelled across India and across the world. He has been a part of a six membered international team that was commissioned by Asia Europe Foundation to create a short film showcasing a cross cultural exchange between India and Europe. He was one among 50 playwrights across the world in the year 2020, who were commissioned by Climate Change Theatre Action, to write plays around the subject of the green new deal. His play 'Truth... or something like it' will be published as a part of the anthology by Climate Change Theatre Action, and will be published in December 2022. He is the Artistic Director of the initiative Readings in the Shed that writes and performs literature in Mumbai. His cine-play 'The Bose Legacy' was the opening film, which was showcased by the Indian Council For Cultural Relations, as a part of the Patriots day celebrations in India. He initiated a course on Theatre & Stagecraft at the Wilson College in Mumbai, a one of a kind vocational course.
