"I am sorry, but this job simply didn't work out.
Suffice it to say that I gave her repeat chances many, many times over, yet I was let down every time, even as the limited progress in the course of this job continually forced me to proggressively lower the quality level every time.
While she tried to follow my detailed (and even illustrated) instructions, she had great difficulties to grasp any but the most basic instructions, and soon started to complain whenever she had to draw more than the most simple, most basic illustrations.
Indeed, it starts already with our explicitly agreeing with each other that she create illustrations in A3 size, yet she merely could create illustrations that show all the limited traits of A4 sized illustrations that were later, after finishing them, blown up to twice their size and then claimed to be A3 illustrations. Yet the content limitations are clearly A4 or even A5 size limitations, rather than the big canvas of A3 illustrations.
Never mind the many delays.
Sorry, but this job's work results were among the worst I ever received. Never again."
"Be aware of this client, new freelancers. This preoject was my first project in Upwork. I spent three valuable months creating 28 A3 size full page black and white illustrations for this project only to get a good feedback. And try to guess what was the budget for those 28 illustrations... Only $50!!! The budget was not the issue as I was a newbee freelancer then. You can visit my portfolio to see what I have created for him. Actually he wanted a $500 job done only with $50.
Even after completing 20 illustrations, the client said that he is satisfied with my work and he is going to hire me for more projects after completing this project. I did all the revisions he told me to do for some illustrations.
But when I created all those 28 illustrations, he complained that my illustrations were not good. He is not satisfied. He even complained that I delivered A4 illustrations to him, not A3. And then he paid me only $25 and told that he will pay the other $25 later. After that he just disappeared for 10 months and now he closed the contract without paying the other half of the money.
My question is if he was not satisfied with my work, why he didn't closed the contract after getting 14 illustrations (as half of the payment were in the escrow)? Why he made me create all the 28 illustrations and only after completing them said that my works were not good?"
