Beginning at age 7, music has been a special passion in our lives. We studied piano, flute, piccolo, violin, guitar, & voice lessons as a young child. At age 16, we penned songs for our family band, The Mystic Zephyrs 4. The MZ4 four-piece band performed throughout Calif. and also recorded an album. They can be heard on Youtube videos.
After graduating from Ventura College and Calif. Institute of The Arts, with an A.A. degree and B.A. degree in Music, we moved to Hawaii.. While in Hawaii we wrote the jingle "Clic photo" which was aired on Hawaiian TV. This was followed by an incredible 6-month singing contract in Nagoya, Japan. !!!!
. During the early nineties, we turned to writing for income. Music-based articles we wrote have included Archipelago, Dogs World, The Highlander, American Dane, Canadian Rail, Cat's Magazine, Success Magazine and others.. The last three years we have been writing for a book publisher a poetry book titled Poetry At The Keyboard Book. It features our original poems such as Chopin, A Vacation From The Piano, Every Good Boy Does Fine, Music In The Attic, Modern Music and numerous others.
During the late 1990's, we were employed for a year at the New West Symphony and also taught piano/keyboard at our home. Years later. we performed on the keyboard at Rusty's Pizza/Pizza Man Dan's in both Ventura and Oxnard. This was later followed by working a season at the Santa Barbara Civic Light Opera. For nearly 25 years, we have also taught numerous piano students.
