I have been successfully freelancing on Upwork for several years. Additionally, I have 20 years of professional operations, administration, and advanced project management experience. My strategies have been massively effective in both the brick and mortar and online environments so I am well qualified and prepared to deliver value-based, efficient solutions utilizing current technology. Shortly after joining the Upwork platform, I was hired on as an Account Manager role. I engaged in client-facing projects and was enjoying that opportunity a great deal when the same client offered me their open Director of Operations position. Leveraging my existing skills, I gladly accepted. In that capacity I was tasked with updating the organizational infrastructure based on the company's growth goals. Working closely with senior management, I created a plan and submitted it to the CEO. Upon approval, I created the processes, supporting documents/training, and a simple CRM on Google Drive for easy access and storage. I successfully completed the project 3 weeks in advance of schedule, much to the satisfaction of my client. The process changes reduced the need for face to face meetings related to training and progress updates which resulted in a minimum 3 hour time savings per week across management and the impacted employees. I was at that point asked to remain in position and initiate additional process updates and assume HR responsibilities. Again, I reviewed the existing strategy and tools then created a plan. With only slight input from the CEO, I was approved to begin updating processes, created appropriate documents. Upon completion of the updates, I began fulfilling the implementation responsibilities of the new process. To do this I worked with various recruiting platforms, (Monster, Indeed, Upwork, and local colleges) and facilitated the entire process from candidate identification through onboarding/training. In less than 1 year, I effectively identified and hired 15 new employees & contractors for the organization, which enabled increased client capacity and revenue. This work also reduced team stress and improved employee/management satisfaction. A quick review of my history will support the fact that advancement in role and responsibility has been a consistent experience throughout my work career. I believe that is in large part to my daily goals which are understanding the needs of my clients, excellent service execution, customer/client satisfaction, and brand growth for the products or services I promote.
