"The freelancer wrote "only" 500 words an hour for a minimal requirement content writing effort. I've had similar content done at a rate of 1500 words an hour, and the quality was not even better for the low number of words written an hour."

"Martin asked me to write SEO book descriptions for his website. The books were previously unknown to me and required research on top of the writing and SEO tasks – both of the books and of their authors. When I delivered the order, Martin disputed the number of hours logged on the contract, saying that I had been “slacking off”, and suggested that we move to a fixed-price contract of $0.016/word – as long as I admitted to lying about the hours logged. I then asked Martin to end the contract."
