I am a UI/UX designer in the making. I am currently enrolled in the UI/UX program at Springboard, and will be graduating in the coming months. Springboard has provided me with 700+ hours of hands-on course material, with 1:1 expert mentor oversight, and completion of 4 in-depth portfolio projects. Mastered skills in information architecture, sketching and wireframing, prototyping and testing, eCommerce and browsing, persuasive and anticipatory design, gamification and behavior change, dashboards and data design, social media and messaging, and product lifecycle. I've always had a knack for the creative side of life. I enjoy playing and writing music of all sorts when I have the time. However, I've also always been interested in understanding how things work and how to make them better, especially when it comes to understanding people. This combination makes a career in UI/UX design the perfect fit to fulfill my passions, and I have loved every step to pursuing such a career. Some skills I have learned from working jobs which are unrelated to UI/UX, but the skills are still applicable: Interpersonal/Communication: I have over five years of experience in customer service. Teamwork: I played team sports (baseball, football, hockey) all throughout my childhood and currently play with a professional paintball team. Critical thinking/Problem solving: As I mentioned above, I enjoy understanding how things work. I spend a lot of my free time studying philosophy and psychology, just not at an academic level. Hard work: I've worked many different jobs. From retail, teaching children to ski, to pouring concrete in the desert. I am no stranger to hard work and long hours. Quick learning: I'm very good at finding/understanding patterns in the world. This helps me pick up on new information very quickly.
