Front-End Developer and UX/UI Designer

My name is Melanie, I'm a creative Front-End Developer with 8+ years of experience working with HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, React and WordPress to build responsive websites, apps, and interactive features. After graduating from university, I worked at a company called BroadbandTV for 2 years. During my time there I created 17 new websites for the company’s high profile clients, among them, the Huffington Post, HooplaKidz and BMG, as well as maintaining all 23 BroadbandTV websites. I also developed an internal app, which helped onboarding new YouTube partners. After BBTV, I worked for a company called Parasail Health in San Francisco for almost 2 years where I was the main Front-End developer. Besides working on the company's main app and site, I built a custom micro CSS framework to assist other developers on the team in writing front-end code. The framework was featured in the FrontEnd Focus newsletter in Issue 275. Since February 2018 I've been working as a freelance Front-End developer and UI/UX designer. I have worked on various projects during that time, mainly creating new websites and apps for my clients using React, Wordpress, and Django.
