Senior Software Engineer. Full Stack. Team Lead.

My core competence is understanding the business needs of my clients and building reliable solutions ground-up. I build full-stack applications: a server, a rich frontend and sometimes a mobile app. I've been programming professionally since 2007. I prefer clarity, simplicity and maintainability over blindly following the trend du jour. I prefer open and frequent communication because I understand how important it is. My English is legible. I'm fine with voice and video calls. I keep response times reasonably short. I write decent technical documentation. I usually work on one project at a time. Most recently I worked on a social media platform (server, web and mobile app), an IoT platform (API with several frontends, interfaces to multiple IoT devices). Here are the tools I used most recently: - JavaScript (TypeScript, ECMAScript, Node, Webpack, Grunt) - Frontend frameworks (Angular 1, Angular 2+, React, JQuery, Bootstrap) - Python (Pyramid, Django, SQLAlchemy, Flask) - Clojure/ClojureScript(Reagent, re-frame) - PHP (Laravel) - Java (Spring, JBoss, Maven) - Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Datastore, Redis) - Google Cloud Platform, App Engine. - Android apps with React Native or Java. - Cross-platform apps with React Native. - Devops (Ansible, Docker, Bash). - HTML5, CSS3 With solid understanding of the web stack it is not difficult for me to see how something works or figure out a new technology. My cons are: - I have never worked deeply in Apple ecosystem. I'm not opposed to it, just didn't have a strong enough need. React Native apps work good enough for both iOS and Android. - I do not do web design from scratch. Even though I know CSS3 I prefer to use a template or a CSS framework like Bootstrap or Foundation. I used to work on variety of things. Some of the tech is now dead and buried. Here is a dump just in case: Java (J2EE, Spring, JBoss, GWT, Maven), JavaScript ( Angular, React, Node.js, Meteor, RxJS, Knockout, JQuery, Backbone), Python (Pyramid, Django, Flask, SQLAlchemy), ActionScript 3 (Flex 3/4, Cairngorm, PureMVC, Parsley, Robotlegs), C++ (OpenGL, Qt, wxWidgets), Unity3D, Semantic Web (RDF, SWRL, Jena Framework, Protege), HTML5, basic Linux administration, Git, Mercurial, Subversion, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Vagrant, Ansible, Docker, Google App Engine (GAE), Salesforce, Stripe, Clojure, ClojureScript. Let's start a conversation and we'll figure out if I suit your project.
