Niki is a Production Designer for theater, film, and television. He has done sets and costumes for Repertory Philippines, Theater Down South, Cinema One Originals entries, and some primetime television series including GMA-7's SUGO and ABS-CBN's Nang Ngumiti ang Langit. He started out as an illustrator and art director under Peque Gallaga after receiving much of his formal theater training at the Ateneo de Manila University; where upon the recommendation of the late National Artist Salvador Bernal, Niki decided to pursue a career in production design. He also worked closely under the late Leonor Orosa-Goquingco, National Artist for Creative Dance, during the mid-2000s revival of her magnum opus, Filipinescas: Philippine Life, Legend, and Lore in Dance. As a passionate Creative, his consultancies include the Nayong Pilipino Foundation [2015-2017], Team BBM for the 2016 elections, Ateneo's Rizal Library [2017], digital content creation and live solutions for Publicity Asia's PR campaigns. In 2014, he released Garbed in Raiments of Light: a collection of patterns for Phillipine santo vestments. A free e-book on the art of designing, cutting, and dressing Philippine santos. Deemed as a "helpful resource" in the representation of saints in Philippine religious art.
