I’m a pre-final year integrated masters student at IIT Kharagpur and an aspiring Robotics Researcher. My primary research interest is in the field of Computer Vision, SLAM, Exploration Mapping, Robot Perception, and Multi-agent coordination for UGVs and UAVs.
For the past three years, I have been part of the Autonomous Ground Vehicle Research Group under Prof. Debashish Chakravarty, where I work on the visual perception and SLAM modules as Team Lead. I am currently developing a SLAM based pipeline for real-time localization and navigation of autonomous vehicle in a GPS-denied environment [LIME].
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked on various projects in collaboration with Government, and developed a Hybrid Cloud Computing and AI-based Social Distancing Surveillance System [HC2 and P2C], and founded a startup Yantrakaar Technologies. I was also involved in the development of Low-Cost Ventilators for assisting the national-healthcare.
Inspired by the DARPA Subterranean Challenge, I started working on information gain based multi-agent exploration and established the Advanced Coordination Robotics (ACR) research group under the guidance of Prof. Aditya Bandyopadhyay. I also completed my research internship at Robotics Research Center under the supervision of Prof. K. Madhava Krishna, on SLAM-based UAV Navigation.
