I have played team sports such as hurling, football and soccer my whole life and as a result I have developed excellent communication and interpersonal skills. When I worked as a bartender/ waiter we had a small team working every shift and it was critical that we all communicated to every member of team so that we did not forget about a food or drink order as each person had a specific job to do.
In my college course I completed many group projects, and these allowed me to improve my teamwork and communication skills. Many times, during group assignments we had different ideas about where the project should go, and we had to resolve these issues while sticking to our schedule and submit the project in time.
I have captained my local hurling team Cratloe at various stages of my playing career. This was a big responsibility as the captain is someone that every player on the team
looks up to and I had to set a good example by working hard during training and matches.
