I am a team-oriented full-stack web developer, fluent in all levels of the architecture, specializing in Agile software development, product development, user experience, database design, unit and acceptance testing, test-driven development, and documentation, who has led several successful product development efforts, iteratively taking products from concept to successful implementation.
In addition to being adept on the server-side, I have led efforts on all tiers of the architecture, including spearheading client-side development, writing a few presentation frameworks along the way.
The primary technologies I have worked with for the last several years include, Java, Servlets, REST, Web Services, JSP, JavaScript, HTML5, Bootstrap, Backbone, Handlebars, Polymer, and RequireJS, Spring Boot/Dropwizard/Jetty/JBoss/Tomcat, along with MySQL, Postgres, SQL Server, Oracle, and NoSQL (Google App Engine Datastore Low-Level API), Firebase, ORMs (Hibernate, home grown), deployed to Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Service, or Microsoft Azure.
I have a wealth of Java framework/tools experience along with extensive experience deploying AWS resources automated leveraging Jenkins pipeline scripts, Python, Chef, and CloudFormation templates for services including EC2, EKS, ECS, SNS, SQS, S3, Lambda, RDS, Route53, API Gateway, Load Balancing, and other AWS services. I also have quite a bit of optimization experience.
For unit testing, I prefer pure Java; however, I have used Mockito and Spock extensively.
I have in depth knowledge of CI using Jenkins pipelines, Git, and Maven and I have experience with Docker and Docker Hub.
Working as a consultant or as a member of distributed development teams, I have a wealth of experience working remotely, communicating effectively and efficiently with other team members.
