Writer/Editor - resumes, cover letters, articles, books, spreadsheets

I've been using Upwork since the summer of 2012 as a means of paying off college debt with writing and editing jobs of various skill and educational levels here and there. Throughout those years, I've worked a couple of on-site full-time jobs, but I have also relied on Upwork for supplemental income. Since 2021, I have transformed Upwork into a regular work gig. My concentration lies in transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. This is especially true for writing resumes, cover letters, and technical/instructional articles and manuals. Occasionally, I dabble in editing fantasy fiction and romance novels. Here's more about me and what I do (a.k.a. my old profile that I feel like keeping here for nostalgic purposes): I edit, proofread, and re-write content to make it sound more professional, consistent, and/or entertaining. Deadlines are met in a reasonable yet prompt time frame. I do my best to show professionalism and competence when working with clients. My strengths when it comes to writing and editing include: resumes and cover letters, various product descriptions (food, fashion, jewelry, makeup, home décor, etc.), how-to-manuals, a variety of fiction genres, music and movie reviews, newsletters, and dialogue scripts. My overall style of writing can be described as "terse". If you need someone who is good at chopping up wordy text and getting straight to the point, you've come to the right place. However, I can and have successfully written narrative, persuasive, and descriptive articles. My portfolio is vast.
