"Very poor communication skills, & instead of waiting around after the work was done, she just said good luck, bye. I wanted to review her work & ask her questions, but it became clear she didn't want to discuss anything. There were a few times when she missed what I said in the messages & I had to repeat myself. When she was done the work, she never sent me any reports which every bookkeeper normally does. There was a misunderstanding on my end about the P&L because she didn't send me the P&L for the year, only month per month which made it very hard for me to read. I thought she was sending me a horizontal version instead of vertical, so I asked her for the vertical version twice. She kept sending me the same report over & over again 3 times. I also misread the line entry about the uncategorized items & I asked her why there were so many uncategorized items. Instead of her talking with me about it, she started defending herself even though I never accused her of anything. She could have easily asked me why I thought there were uncategorized items as she's not seeing any. There were a small amount in two areas, but instead, she started talking about her personal life, that she has integrity, she isn't a con artist, etc. All I wanted to do was review the P&L, discuss any questions & then hire her to continue on with the work, but in both her previous message & in this last one she just signed off saying everything was done & refused to discuss anything with me. I was shocked. This was her attitude even after I apologized for my misunderstanding, & she just ignored me. Then when I called QBO to review her work, I found out that she had NOT categorized the items properly at all. I then had to hire someone else to redo her work. While the reconciliation was done, due to the errors in the categorization, she cost me a lot of time, money & stress."
