Experienced Content Writer/Editor/Proofreader/Social Media Strategist

If you’re looking for a writer who can weave a convincing story over a wide range of topics, I may be able to help. Experience: 2021-2022: Marketing Manager at National Institute of Education, Singapore, and Singapore Management University 2015-2020: Business Development Director (Evershine Projects Pte Ltd) - Landscaping Company 2009-2014: Book Content Editor-turned-Team Leader (John Wiley and Sons) As a Book Content Editor, I managed the content and production of academic books from the receipt of manuscripts to the final print as well as online and digital publication, with a focus on the schedule and budget of the project. As a Team Leader, I managed a team of Book Content Editors with motivation and conviction to achieve targets and goals. I also managed relationships with overseas Editorial colleagues and authors to gain confidence in our work and worked closely with suppliers such that any issue would be promptly resolved. 2008-2010: Freelance Lifestyle Writer (Time Out Singapore) Other than writing feature articles, I consolidated and edited monthly "Around Town" listings, which would comprise the hippest event(s) of the month, the most fascinating exhibition(s) not to be missed, and the highlights of all highly-anticipated festivals. 2008: Research Writer - Intern (Threesixzero Productions Pte Ltd) I compiled and provided background research for various TV productions, including a beautiful interactive dance programme, “Come Dance With Me”, aired on MediaCorp Singapore's Channel U in October 2008. I was also engaged to transcribe and translate a Mandarin documentary, “City Footprints”, aired on MediaCorp's Channel U in September 2008, to include English subtitles for its submission to the Asian Television Awards 2009. 2006-2008: Writer-turned-Editor-in-Chief (National University of Singapore's Official Online Digital Publication/Online E-Zine) As a writer, I brainstormed, researched, performed background checks, attended events, reviewed products, interviewed personalities and wrote articles. As an Editor-in-Chief, I facilitated article discussions and brainstorming sessions, made decisions, maximised resources, edited articles, kept sight of the overall theme and was the mouthpiece of the publication.
