Hi, my name is Jessica McPhail. I received my Bachelor of Science with a Minor in Biology from the University of Ottawa in 2017, where I first developed my technical report writing and web research skills. I focused my degree on plant science and quickly launched into a career in cannabis after graduating. I am currently employed with the Canadian Federal Government as an Executive Assistant to the Director in a branch of Service Canada. I manage a busy general email inbox, often sending 50-100 emails per day. I also provide organization to the Director General's Office by scheduling meetings, creating meeting agendas, taking meeting notes, and supporting the Director in her day-to-day tasks. Outside of my day job, I have two years of experience in writing as a freelancer. I have completed numerous website articles in horticulture, indoor plant care and regenerative agriculture. My most recent project was in ghostwriting, in which I completed a 30,000 word ebook on the topic of organic gardening, which was destined to become an audiobook. Other topics of interest include productivity, personal development, sustainable living, diet and nutrition, cooking, fitness, outdoor adventure and sports. Since I am a writer on the side of my daytime career as a Public Servant, I will write in the evenings and on weekends.
