"Melissa did a fantastic job of publicizing our self-published novel. This was the first time we hired someone to help promote our novel, and the first time we used Upwork. We were so new to the process we didn’t know where to start. After a strategy session on the phone, Melissa created a comprehensive plan. Then we chose specific tasks which we all agreed would give us the biggest bang for our buck. We decided to go with a Kindle Discount Ad promotion and run the Kindle Countdown for five days. Melissa purchased ads and created a list of several discount promo sites, which reached tens of thousands of potential readers. She told us she had recently gotten two other authors onto the Amazon Best Seller list. One week before our promotion started, our novel ranked 55,000 in Satire. During our promotion, our novel soared to #38 in Satire, easily in the Top 100 Best Sellers -- all due to Melissa’s professional and savvy approach. We are thrilled. Even today, six days after our first sale day, our Kindle sales report shows 36 Kindle Edition Normalized Pages have been read; previously this total was zero.
