For web ebook distribution channel we also deliver pdf/a format, with proper linking, page size, bookmarks and metadata. ##################### Accessibility / Tagged pdf ##################### Hello there, I am working as an Accessible ebook / Tagged pdf developer from 3+ years, [Remediating Word documents and PDFs to comply with accessibility standards, outlined in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)] We ensures your PDF documents meet today’s leading accessibility standards, such as Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA, PDF/UA, Section 508. Our process ensures all documents are accurately tagged for the end user. When we remediate a pdf some errors raised on validation and I am expert in resolving such issues listed below: ================================= Scope attribute not specified for TH element. Table Cell does not have column headers associated with it. Link Annotation doesn't define the Contents attribute. An Optional Content Configuration entry does not define the Name entry. An element of type icon may not be nested immediately under an element of type P or the Placement attribute should be set to Inline. ListNumbering value is set to Decimal. CommonLook recommends setting it to LowerAlpha. Link Destination Failed Parent tag of Link annotation doesn't define the Alt attribute. Link Annotation doesn't define the Contents attribute. Making link text screen reader friendly An untagged annotation has been detected. A tag of type TOC may not have H1 as a direct child A tag of type TOCI may not have Text as a direct child. The highlighted Figure tag is missing the BBox attribute or is incorrect. A tag of type L may not have L as a direct child. An accessible PDF is called "Tagged PDF" because the file contains HTML-like tags to enable assistive technology to read the PDF. 80% accessibility comes from the tags. I use Adobe Acrobat DC under the Adobe Creative Cloud account, to remediate a pdf and also validate it Adobe accessibility checker, although its checker is not a good checker, so I also pass the tagged pdf through CommonLook pdf validator to make it more accessible as per standard. I also validate tagged pdf by PAC3 validator to ensure its accessibility. Beside of this we are also a Carbon Neutral company with zero carbon emission from our in-house processes by using Solar energy and planting more trees. And this makes all of us happy for a healthy life for our coming generations.
