I hold a PhD in English, and my background in higher education as both an administrator and an educator has shaped my approach to storytelling and mentorship. As a lecturer, I designed innovative curriculum, guided collaborative learning environments, and authored original research projects. My passion for teaching and mentorship extended to helping new instructors hone their skills and fostering inclusive learning environments for her students. Although I continue to teach at the college level, I also enjoy working with a variety of clients—which I find strengthens my work in the writing classroom. My first voyeur outside of higher education was in communications for a sustainability-focused nonprofit. In this role, I shaped organizational messaging through grant writing, content calendars, social media management, and sustainability-focused internship programs. As a content writer and instructional designer, I have partnered with clients to create SEO-driven articles, intuitive UX content, and corporate training programs rooted in adult-learning theory. My ability to translate complex ideas into accessible, impactful messaging has stemmed from my work as a researcher, writer, and educator, which in turn, has allowed me to elevate clients' brand, engagement, and content. My expertise is a blend of creativity, strategic planning, and data-driven insights. I am passionate about storytelling and building meaningful relationships with individuals and organizations. I am deeply committed to fostering community and connections, and I have experience coordinating large-scale events/conferences, developing programs that unite diverse audiences, and cultivating inclusive spaces where everyone feels valued.
