"How does one find the perfect freelancer to work on your project when there are so many options to choose from Upwork? Over the years of working with different freelancers, we've learned a few things or two to look out for in order for us to choose the best candidate- apart from the obvious things like skill set, portfolio, profile, etc... we have found that their character traits are the magic elements that differentiate between a freelancer delivering a good project and one who delivers a project that is next-level. For example, whether the freelancer is willing to jump on a call with you to truly understand your brand and project right from the get-go, rather than just following a written brief. Whether the freelancer is generally curious and passionate about taking on your project, rather than just treating it as another job and ultimately sacrificing quality. Whether they are responsive when you need them, rather than waiting for 2 days for a simple question to be answered. Courtney has been helping us with our copywriting and proofreading for our Kickstarter campaign and our website. She is naturally creative and has a curious mind which shows in her writing.
