I am a finance professional with 15 years of experience across Project Finance and Private Equity Investment and Asset Management. My experience started as a team member and over the last 15 years I have grown to take on leadership positions including board positions for the assets I have managed. I have worked across various sectors within the infrastructure space and have skill sets ranging from report writing, presentations (making and delivering), valuations, all aspects of deal making right from initial discussions, negotiations upto deal closure followed by asset management. In my most recent capacity as a senior professional in Macquarie, I took on a more focussed Asset Management role (responsible for portfolio management of key portfolio companies invested by Macquarie's infra funds in India) where I was responsible for (i) relationship management across key stakeholders for our portfolio companies (ii) overseeing the budgeting process as well as overseeing the monitoring of the same (iii) overseeing the implementation of strategic financial initiatives tailored for the diff assets owned / invested by the funds (iv) implementation of ESG initiatives across portfolio companies through recruitment of suitable teams in the respective assets (v) providing guidance to senior management of the assets / portfolio companies to ensure assets were being run in line with fund's investment policy / general management principles (vi) liason with Govt officials where required for each of the assets. The assets I have worked on span across Telecom Infrastructure, Renewables, Transportation space. In addition I had a team of 6-8 investment professionals across junior levels reporting to me directlyover the course of my most recent stint with Macquarie.
