I am a former scientist and college biology instructor who has transitioned into a freelance career as a science writer. In my 8 years of college teaching, I learned to take complex concepts and present them to my students in an engaging, easy-to-understand, and memorable form. I now use the same skills to write popular science articles and video scripts that capture the imagination and provide useful information at the same time.
My popular science articles have appeared in several print magazines as well as online. I have also co-authored a science book for middle-school students, which was published by Penguin Random House in May 2022. Finally, I have written multiple video scripts for a PBS Digital popular science show. I take the time to consult primary sources to ensure that the information I present is always accurate and scientifically supported.
