Freelance Proofreader & Copyeditor

Hello! I am a professional classical musician, but because I have short hours and a passion for reading, writing, and editing, I am also pursuing work as a freelance copyeditor and proofreader. I have previous experience writing program notes for concerts, grading and providing commentary on students' papers, and writing tutoring. I have also informally worked as a volunteer editor for years. I am currently pursuing a Copyediting Certificate from the University of California, San Diego to perfect my skills, but I believe I can already not only successfully proofread any piece of writing, but provide helpful feedback that will elevate its organization, flow, and general appeal. Because of my background in music and the arts, I feel I would be especially helpful in those areas, but I have a broad array of interests and am open to any kind of work. I am dedicated, thoughtful, and thorough, always meet deadlines, and have a very flexible schedule so can turn work around very quickly. I look forward to working with you!
