Branch and Franchise Business Development

I have a many years experience in the Fleet Management, Automotive Retail Repair, New and Used Heavy Fleet (Truck), Light Automotive, Marine and Motorcycle sales, finance and Insurance and Inventory and Warehousing. I have also been a training / consultant to these industries and more. BRIEF OVERVIEW: I have developed over the past three (3) decades a consultation, coaching and the training and development company competencies throughout Australia, New Zealand and North America and Hong Kong SAR. Successes were founded from my own successes as a business Principal and General Manager for brands such as Volvo Trucks, ZF and Toyota, my consultancy years with a Canadian company to Ford in Australia, New Zealand and North America and my time as Service Manager within a Mitsubishi, Mazda, Eunos and Proton Dealerships. Prior to this I was involved in the administration and fleet management requirements for the Electricity Trust of South Australia (ETSA) and managed Capital and operating budgets during the 1980’s in the order of $32 million but commenced my career with ETSA as an Apprenticed Diesel Mechanic. As General Manager CMV Voltruck, I guided Volvo Truck sales market share in South Australia from a 20-year norm of approximately 6% to 21% and number 1 market share in my first year and beyond. Inside my first year, I established a newly appointed Toyota Dealership, developing sales from zero to between 80 and 120 units per month and positively reversed the profitability by directing that company to number 1 market share within my Prime Market Area (PMA) Number 1 in terms of Return on Sales (ROS) and number 1 in Sales Customer Satisfaction within the South Australian region. My name and reputation for rapidly revitalizing or restoring businesses no matter what the product type or segment is well versed. It was founded and sustained by challenging industry norms and paradigms while applying mindful HRM, marketing and sales, customer satisfaction and sound business develop initiatives. I am experienced and formally educated in Marketing, Franchising, Management, Workplace training and development, hold a Class HC R Heavy Vehicle Drivers License and more. SUMMARY My business acumen and entrepreneurial flair will bring exceptional executive and creative thinking to any industry that I apply myself to, whilst maintaining a clear understanding of day-to-day “hands on” operations. I have the ability to see the “big picture” of a company through understanding its key drivers and how they work together to produce profitable growth. My business and marketing knowledge will allow me to make good decisions for the people I work for and with, while taking into account how my decisions would impact key company measures, objectives, outcomes and most importantly profits. The leadership and hands on approach to my work that has developed throughout my career, has developed even more so during the last 14 years of operating my own business.
