U.S. Sales Tax Consultant (State & Local)

My name is Matt and I was born and raised in southeastern Connecticut but have lived in Virginia for the past 17 years. I have worked in the fields of sales and telecommunications taxes for the past 20 years. I know the ins-and-outs of every state and local-level sales, use, telecommunications, surcharge, and USF (Universal Service Fund) tax return. My duties have spanned everything from personally preparing hundreds of monthly returns to managing a team of tax preparers. I have spent countless hours researching sales tax laws throughout my career as well. I have direct access to expansive, subscription based tax research software programs to aid in my ongoing career and to help any client resolve his/her issues.
