I wear a lot of hats! -As an academic critic, I've published work with Brill, Johns Hopkins UP, and Penn State UP. -As a humorist, I've published work with McSweeney's and Points in Case about women's bodies, Instagram, and higher education. -As a trauma theorist-informed memoir editor, I believe in the healing power of narration. -As an academic editor, I've edited and proofread journal articles in linguistics, psychology, education, business, and art for students and published PhDs alike. I'm happy to answer any questions you have for me about my work! Thanks very much for looking at my page! *You may notice a variation on pricing for NPOs. While I don't work for free, I've committed to writing for one NPO per week and donating any money earned to charities in my city. The prices reflect the price ranges of the NPOs in question. The pricing for my other services is pretty consistent.Academic Proofreading

A long time ago and in a land far away (just kidding...only one of these is true), I entered college like many people do: directionless and looking for the next party. It was a rough start to my academic career. A few months later, "Introduction to Creative Writing" was the only class I was passing. Admittedly, it was also the only class I was attending, but even after I adjusted my terrible habits and decided to show up for the other courses in which I'd enrolled, there was a reason I never skipped English. Whether with artistic flair or through concise, organized prose, I knew that I wanted to craft a career out of reading and writing. So, that's what I did. I acknowledge literacy is a foundational element of education and that, practically speaking, most people possess these skills. However, the amount of time I spend performing these activities for my clients (as well as practicing them in my leisure time) affords me a unique position in the copywriting marketplace. The fact of the matter is--this is all that I do. I read, and I write. Over the past 20 years, I've composed everything from love poems to landing pages for others, and I've relished every moment of the process. If you'd like more details about the type(s) of writing I provide for clients: I convince admissions committees to accept people into their university. I compose personal bios that build confidence in potential clients. I describe services or products that elicit intererst in prospective buyers. I generate creative ideas for people whose muse has disappeared. If you need help getting unstuck on a writing assignment, if you don't have the margin in your life to produce a writing task, or if you don't have the requisite skills for a specific writing project, I want to help. To me, there's no greater satisfaction than writing a story, an article, or even an email for someone who lacks the time or confidence to compose it on their own. I hope you will consider me for any writing or editing projects that require a dedicated and talented professional. JoeAcademic Proofreading

Hello, my name is Veronica and I come to you with a bachelor's and master's degree in psychology. During my academic years, I specialized in qualitative and quantitative research where I worked with a team to develop, employ, and write up each study we conducted. When I entered into my master's degree, I developed my own research topic pertaining to mindfulness meditation. I carried out the data collection and analysis, then wrote up a thesis paper on the project. For all the studies I have worked on, I translated them into poster and oral presentations as well as manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals. I am well-versed on the language and citation style needed to accomplish any stage in the research process. Research is not the only thing I am a pro at though! The school admissions process can be daunting with personal statements and curriculum vitae requirements, but I have mastered this process and have had success with assisting peers. My skill set with admissions has also recently bled into applications for careers as well where I write and/or edit cover letters and resumes.Academic Proofreading
