I have a varied background in legal matters, writing, real estate, construction and general business matters. Over the past decade I primarily worked in highly regulated industries such as cannabis, either as a consultant or minority partner. I was previously a big-firm attorney and went to one of the best law schools in the country, where I was an honors grad and a law clerk at the Tennessee Supreme Court. I also spent 1.5 years working as a case study associate at the Vanderbilt Institute for Public Policy Studies. I have expertise in real property title / zoning and corporate experience including development, leasing, water and mineral rights, corporate filings of every variety, and general contracts. I can handle complicated projects at a high level, and manage ongoing projects such as corporate or real estate filings with the appropriate attention to detail while also being fast. I can help non-US citizens set up companies in the US and in some cases act as a nominee director. I can help as a paralegal with high-level background support on any kind of litigation projects, be it one-offs or ongoing complex disputes. Any projects that require professional level writing are also in my wheelhouse. My undergraduate degree was in Writing and I was (i) an editor and writer for the University of Colorado - Denver newspaper, (ii) an articles editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review, and (iii) published law review author. In my professional career I have written articles with a legal focus and also white papers presented to local and state governments considering cannabis regulations and policies. I was the lead researcher and writer (on a volunteer basis) in a two-year effort successfully lobbying the State of Colorado to change its healthcare insurance "mandatory coverages" to include children with autism spectrum disorders. I have written pitch decks, marketing content and trade articles, process / SOP manuals, and complex regulatory applications that required up to 1,000 pages of content. I also have a technical construction background and have been the project manager on a number of cannabis industry development and building projects in multiple states, and have in the past decade been a licensed GC and ICC-certified commercial plans examiner. On a personal note, I've been involved in various non-profits in my adult life and generally they skew towards issues involving underprivileged kids or disabled kids. I was the pro bono counsel, Vice-President then later President, of the Autism Society of Colorado. I have been a youth mentor with various programs including Big Brothers & Big Sisters and similar organizations.Academic Writing

I love writing and helping others produce their best work. I will write or help you create fresh, engaging, immersive pieces that will leave your reader thinking about it for the rest of their day. I enjoy writing about pop culture, film/TV, literature, music, wellness, and spirituality. In 2019, I graduated from The King's College in New York City with a BA in English. My college's pride and joy was having a core curriculum of politics, philosophy, and economics, which pushed me to write about various subjects and sharpened my research skills. I have also taken numerous writing classes, including research, fiction, dramatic writing, and cultural criticism. I was the Managing Editor for my college's literary magazine and won a creative writing competition judged by faculty. I like to read and enjoy writing stories that experiment with magical realism and horror when I'm not working. My favorite authors are Flannery O'Connor, George Saunders, Franz Kafka, Alexandra Kleeman, David Foster Wallace, Ottessa Moshfegh, and Joan Didion, of course. I charge $25 an hour or $0.02 a word.Academic Writing

Hello and welcome! I am a freelancer skilled in proofreading and copy editing, as well as academic editing, research, and writing. Born and raised in America, I also lived and studied in the U.K. for many years, so I am well versed in both American and British English. I am certified in Grammar, Proofreading, and Copy Editing from the Publishing Training Centre, which is the most highly regarded training establishment in the publishing industry. I have a BA in Psychology and a MSc in History and have conducted research and teaching assistance in institutions such as the University of Edinburgh, Yale University, St Edward's University, and New York University. I have experience editing: ✔creative works and literature, from short stories to novels; ✔academic manuscripts, from journal articles to dissertations, across a variety of disciplines; ✔non-fiction of varying lengths and tones; ✔web content, from blogs to journalistic pieces; ✔social media and marketing content; ✔and more! Grammatical errors can make an otherwise outstanding writer seem negligent or unprofessional, even to an inexperienced reader. Inconsistencies and discrepancies can be confusing at best, and outright inaccurate at worst. When your name is attached to a piece of writing, an experienced editor is a necessity. Regardless of your discipline or subject material, my well-trained eye can catch and query mistakes that could otherwise be damaging to your work. You’ve worked hard to create this product; let me make it the best it can be. Other services I provide include manuscript critique and formatting of written content for eReaders. I can ensure timely delivery and, if required, will make revisions on my own time. I am here to make sure your written work is polished, clear, professional, and makes the best possible impression. The quality of your final product and your ultimate satisfaction are hugely important to me, and I have 100% ★★★★★ reviews to show for it. savannahwoodeditorial.comAcademic Writing

After graduating from college, I signed a longterm contract to ghost write short stories for my client. The positive experience from that gave me the skills to provide dense, easy to read content in a short amount of time, and opened me up to working on articles, social media content creation, and novels. After about a year of doing this kind of work through various outlets, I decided to take some time managing in customer service for, again, about a year. While customer service had its appeal (ability to see how a successful business operates and access to individuals that could improve my professionalism being a part of that), I found myself desiring the freedom that freelance brought me, the power to make my own schedule, the autonomy over how a deal happens, without any of the restrictions that come with a corporate environment. Now, I can my take my passion and managerial knowledge to improve the freelance experience further than I could at first, and more importantly, I can utilize the tremendous asset that is UpWork to create an excellent experience for all of my clients.Academic Writing
