    Dear Hiring Manager, As someone passionate about diving into complex data and producing strategic recommendations, I was thrilled to see an opening at your company. My name is Geraldine, and I work full-time as a Senior Data Analyst in a global consulting company. My day-to-day tasks involve asking the business better questions about their requirements, creating data models, dashboard development for Customer Success, Marketing and Sales units, and data storytelling. In addition, I recommended insights to drive their decision-making and exposure to SQL servers for data migration tasks. Finally, I help the business by implementing a robust data analytics platform and creating a data-driven culture using Microsoft Stack. One of my most significant achievements was creating a predictive model that helped improve customer retention for a software development company. Using the historical data, the machine learning model used statistical method such as Logistic regression to predict which customers per industry were most likely to give positive references, and the insights generated were used to reduce Infor’s customer churn rate. When I was in SunPower, I remotely worked with field engineers in the US to develop insights presented as dashboards that drive strategic decision-making. Out of the data they imported into the app, I was responsible for developing and implementing data analysis strategies, and for communicating insights to them like real-time and historical performance data of solar panels’ health status. In terms of problem-solving, one situation I can share was my effort on Customer Reference trends. The purpose of customer reference data is to provide the Customer Success team with a comprehensive understanding of Infor’s customers, that was very important for product development, customer experience, and sales forecasting. The Customer Success team wanted to leverage customer trends data. The real-time customer data coming from CRM was available. But the dilemma, the historical data were nonexistent. Hence, I’ve developed an ETL pipeline for capturing snapshot data. I started by identifying the data sources and the desired output format. Then, I defined the data transformation process and designed the architecture of the ETL pipeline. I have written the code to extract, transform, and load the data from CRM to our enterprise data warehouse and have optimized the code for memory and processing speed. Within that data warehouse are SQL Server databases. Moreover, part of my task was to create test scripts to ensure that the ETL pipeline was working as intended. Finally, I always ensured that the code was future-proof by using best practices such as data vault modeling techniques. I was able to identify patterns and trends in customer data with different attributes such as the number of customer feedback by industry and region over time. Ultimately, the insights on the Birst and Power BI dashboards I developed, helped the Customer Success, Cloud Operations, and Sales teams in making data-driven decisions to drive revenue growth. From a very early age, I've been fond of finding trends and patterns. My favorite game as a kid was scavenger hunting with my friends. And I would play like a detective — tracking the clues within the numbers to find the culprit is always rewarding. That trait has served me well in my career. After graduating from the university, I was recruited as a Technical Writer and got paid to develop business requirement documentation for a company-wide dashboard project. That job also made me realize I'm good with IT project management, which landed me a job as a Project Analyst. As a Project Analyst, I was exposed to different business structures and became the process owner of the energy services of SunPower. Business processes like sales, order to cash, and customer service. I was exposed to live and transactional data from Salesforce. Moreover, I was a Data Analyst in a startup company where I was exposed to B2B transactions. Through business analysis, I helped streamline the returns management system of Ecorenew’s warehouses located in the UK. I contributed as one of the data engineers in an agile team called Data Management and Analytics at Infor (a software development company). This is when I have deployed many efficient data-driven dashboards and enjoyed providing actionable insights to Customer Success, Cloud Operations, and Product Development teams.
